Son Of Dead UK Soldier Anthony Wakefield Salutes His Father

The 8 year old son of Anthony Wakefield, the British soldier who died as his night patrol was attacked by bombers in Iraq - stood to attention and saluted passers by the door of his house in his pyjamas. He said his daddy was a hero and saluted some more.

Gamblog comment :: In a world of bad shit happening every day, certain things hit home, others go un-noticed. An 8 year old boy who will never see his dadda again, saluting in his jarmies, hit me right between the eyes and I am afraid the vision will never go away. The mother and family disagree with the Iraq war, but the 8 year old boy stood on the doorstep in his pyjamas regardless.

The politicians can pontificate all they like, I can write about gambling all I like. It is because of the likes of Anthony Wakefield and too many thousands who have died defending our right to do so. Some may wonder what place this post has on a gambling blog.
