The article uses Caesars Casino in Indiana as an example. It's hard to believe there having trouble, I've been to that casino and it was packed, and that was not during peek hours. Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, is right across the river from it, not even 4 miles. That’s why I say it's hard to believe.
They also say casino owners felt the economy would never affect them. Well if the only Casinos around would still be in Vegas and Reno they would probably be right LOL! I live in Florida and 40 miles to the east is the Sterling Casino Cruise Lines, the largest floating Casino in the world. A simple 9 hours cruise with food, drink, and entertainment. And the price is right it’s free LOL! 90 miles to the west in Tampa is the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel (Indian owned though) and neither of them are losing any business. I am sure the land based casinos will think of something.
