Globet International Sports Betting Limited is one of the major companies in the international market of sports betting with the widest offer of tax-free odds on European events.
Its operations are run from London(UK), where the principal office is located and, as such its activities are regulated by the UK authorities.
Globet was founded in 1995 and had a staff of 6 people. Current CEO Bruno Moroni came on board in 1996 as an IT Consultant to open Globet up to a European audience by the introduction of Telecommunication and Internet betting, with the original website going live late in 1997. Bruno's direction and the introduction of the website turned the company into a profit making organisation almost immediately. Globet has been steadily increasing in revenue and profit over the last 2-3 years, and is set to make a profit of just under £5m on a turnover of around £50m at the end of 2002.
The company has grown to just over 40 employees, with 28 based at the London office and 15 odds compilers spread across Europe. Globet has just launched it's new website, branding strategy and new products aimed at widening it's portfolio and increasing the customer base across Europe. There are currently around 30,000 active customers and 50,000 internet guests. (Definition of an active customer is one who bets at least once in a 28 day period. An internet guest is someone who has registered and has not yet made a deposit, or a customer who bets less than once in a 28 day period.)
Globet covers a wide variety of European sports with a focus on football, where around 50 European leagues are on offer. It has recently introduced Cricket, Rugby League and Union, Horse Racing and Darts to satisfy the UK market. Globet has formed some strategic partnerships, most notably with West Ham FC and the UK Snooker Championships as the official betting partner.
The client is guaranteed the widest choice by allowing bets not only on final results, but on half-time, number of goals, 'double chances', and many more.
The odds offered are highly competitive and single bets are accepted on all European soccer leagues.
Globet also offers odds on non-sporting events such as the Financial Markets, The Academy Awards, Miss World, Big Brother and political elections.
Odds are also regularly published on Eurosport Teletext page 541 and CNNTeletext page 222.
For your greater peace of mind, Globet is registered with I.B.A.S. (Independent Betting Arbitration Service), which is based in the UK and acts as an independent arbitrator in the event of a dispute between the company and a client which cannot be resolved by our Customer Care department. All decisions by I.B.A.S. are binding on the company.
