Does anyone understand what is going on? I received an email with lots of emails cc'd on the email! Someone seems to be claiming that the author is under some sort of police investigation.

I tried the casino software once out of curiosity but it didn't work due to some technical reason. I doubt many people paid for it. Also, the author was claiming he could beat the casino using it which made me suspicious as this would be impossible if the casino was fair.

Well, I gotta admit, I think I been had. I too got the same emails and had the same problems installing the robt in the first instance. I gotta be honest, I felt it would be possible to programme a robot and although slightly unethical, I wouldnt object to sitting opposite a robot and consequently jsutified it to myself. Anyways, it all looks like a big scam now, particularly the most recent emails. Why on earth would Party Poker or any of the monsters strike a deal like this? They have got far more to lose than they have to gain. Good idea with this thread though, I wanna see what everyone else is saying.

I didn't try the poker robot but tried the casino robot from last year. I was told there was some technical reason it wasn't working but didn't bother trying it again (I tried the demo). The author was trying to say he could be sure of beating the casino with it (i.e. no chance of losing) which would be impossible unless it exploited a flaw in the casino.

He never claimed to beat the casino, at least when I tried the free version of the BJ robot he only claimed you could make money by cashing in on the $200 bonus offered by 888.com. The robot would play for you so you could thus have wagered enough to meet the wagering requirement to withdraw (thus doubling your money).

I don’t imagine he has a deal with the casinos; he has probably become an affiliate and gets a fee for referring the people to the sites. The sites probably don’t know about the free robot deal.

Hi, I've come here because I was one of the CC emails, and got an email about this thread. I did actually buy the blackjack robot and it did work, but I never really used it much. I mainly bought it out of curiosity, and I didn't really like it because you couldn't see what was going on and I just generally thought it was a pretty, rubbish but it did work.

What was actually claimed iirc was that it increases your chance of winning by doing a sort of sweeper system that takes advantage of patterns observed in the software. This part, from my experience, did not work. It seemed, contrary to pretty much every other sweeper system I've seen before, to increase your stakes when you are on a losing streak.

I'm also very curious to know whats going on. I'm mostly annoyed about the breach of privacy. My email address has been sent out to about 500 other people from what I gather. Hopefully no-one will post the list of addresses online anywhere, or it could be gathered by a spam bot, although I fear this might be the beginning of the end of that address for me anyway.

I will dig out the email he sent me claiming he could beat the software. I did question it but he didn't reply again after that. He was probably trying to get me to buy it!

He was claiming he could beat the casino. Although in reality, after a few hundred thousand hands, the house edge would not be able to be overcome if the game was fair. Obviously, with a bit of luck you could be ahead until then so maybe he was just lucky.

Quote:

You're confusing the card game with the severely restricted computerised version - random number generation is really quite pathetic. Wins and losses pan out perfectly evenly and you can simply set it to take a profit when it swings that way - then you play again later, or another day.

The price is now US$159 and we're accepting Neteller.

By the way, we've wagered over US$300K at Casino On Net alone, with countless cashouts and we started with US$250. You do the math...

More questions answered (all this was from nearly a year ago):

Hello again

I did reply to your last email - and you didn't mention the demo not working for you.

You must have multiple network adaptors in your PC - I'll upload a new version of the demo today which will allow you to select other adaptors, it currently defaults to 1.

So it would seem. I just find it strange/hard to believe, that someone capable of writting a casino robot is incompetant enough with a computer to not be able to work an email client properly.

It is possible that this guy is just a PR person and doesn't actually program the bots. It is also possible that he's so nerdy that he can't use basic software. I've seen the latter many times. I don't think this is an intentional scam, but he is obviously getting a kick back from the casinos somehow. I called Party Poker and his signup code is definitely legit. If he does not give you the software after signing up with Party Poker, they would have not held up their end of the agreement and you could invalidate your deposit. Sounds like it might be worth a try.

I bought the PokerRobot, and it did not play a single hand for me. Plain and simple. Its a scam. I hope he goes to jail. When I sent the money Western Union, the rep over the phone warned me about sending money to people that I don't know, because when you do this, its the same as paying in cash, and you have no leagle ramifications on getting your money back.

There is a new casino playing robot program that has reportedly been working for some time. Microgaming casinos have had an autoplay feature for a few years and now you can play automatically at other casinos using the bot program.

You can read more about it in this article

UPDATE: All articles are offline at the moment so I've copied it below

Blackjack Bot Cashes Casino Deposit Bonuses Automatically

By: Andrew Kasch

Online casinos offer deposit bonuses to lure new players in. This effectively gives a casino customer some free money from the casino to play with. The catch is, you cannot withdraw any profits (or sometimes even any of your own money) until you wager what can seem like a heck of a lot of money.

For example, an online casino might offer a 100% first deposit match to $100 with a minimum wagering requirement of 15 times the deposit plus bonus. So that's $200 x 15 = $3000 in total bets made before you can cash out. This can take a while to do, especially while making a minimum bet of only $1. An impatient player will certainly bet more in his pursuit of that tempting bonus money.

The problem with that is, the higher you bet the more you are subject to the natural swings of variance (or short-term luck) which reduces the whole endeavor to much more of a gamble. No doubt, this is exactly what the casino offering the bonus is counting on. If a customer plays a low house-edge game, such as blackjack, and can keep making the minimum bet until he or she cashes the bonuses, they are almost certain of being able to cash out most of the bonus as a profit. (This is because the house edge in online blackjack is only a measly 1/2 of 1%, often less.)

Enter the blackjack bot. This is an auto-play program that resides on your computer which plays perfect basic strategy for you. Set it to make the minimum bet, set the maximum number of hands to play in order to correspond with the minimum wagering requirements, and go to bed. The bot does the playing for you and makes bonus-cashing an effortless chore.

"The online casinos have to offer deposit bonuses as part of their marketing, because this is the industry standard and it's expected of them" replied a casino bot user when questioned about the growing use of online bots. "It works for them because most players will become impatient and make larger bets, throwing themselves at the mercy of variance and the house edge."

"The reason the casinos make so much money is because players will bet big and stop playing after they have undergone a losing streak" he added. "Bot products smooth out the winning and losing streaks so that you nearly always cash-out the expected value of your deposit bonus." These expected values differ by casino but are typically around 80% of the actual bonus offered, after the house edge multiplied by the wagering requirement takes it toll.

Many of these casinos offer regular monthly "reload bonuses" as well. This means that a player can make another deposit next month and get some more bonus money, as the casino would like another shot at them.

Is it really that easy? Are the online casinos content to sit by and let bot users relieve them of their promotional bonus money?

The answer to that question has yet to be determined. Most online businesses that become infiltrated by bots take counter-measures, such as Myspace (the hugely popular social networking site). But it is still unclear as to just how threatened the online casinos actually are over a few bot users exploiting the flaw in their bonus policies. And it is even foggier as to whether they want to spend the money and resources to do anything about it, as the bot programmers always seem to be one step ahead on the internet.

Author Resource:-& In addition to their Blackjack Bot product, Shanky Technologies website offers online poker bot programs as well. All of their products can be downloaded in a trial version for free by clicking the banner below:

I don't recommend any of the bots in the win500aday.com link above.. I seem to remember something about them being fake bots that simply download a dodgy Playtech casino and lose people money. My memory is a bit hazy now but it's definitely not recommended. I think they only work for Prestige Casino and it's some sort of marketing idea (that loses people money).
