Can't figure out how that happened...lol

I'm really glad you asked me that, laserman, as I had wanted to reply to the comment you made to (or about) me last week, but I probably never would have, except now that you've asked me this, I will. (Which is good, because I should. But usually, I'm just too nice and would just keep my mouth shut...)

So... where'd all my credits come from? Sirius already told you (twice even) about the royal flush on the VP game here, which is a huge chunk of them - and of course, with the entry maximum limit (suggested by none other than YOU), they couldn't all be used up in just one drawing, so a lot of them I carried over into this week's drawing. But I didn't think that was enough (didn't want to rely just on luck alone, you know, since I've never really thought myself all that lucky!), so I set about collecting all the credits I could in ways that are clearly stated (encouraged, in fact) in the rules to the draw.
If it should happen that someone else wins, I'm still going to be happy for them and be sincere when I congratulate them and it simply wouldn't occur to me to FAULT them somehow for their having won instead of me!

I would think that anywhere outside of maybe kindergarten, that would be the natural reaction of anyone! Although you've shown me that that's not always the case.

But your reaction in particular is very confusing. I saw something of it first tonight when I read thru this whole prizedraw winner's thread for the first time. You know, it goes all the way back to the very beginning days of the draw. And boy, sounds like those were the days! Sure wish I'd have known about this back then. Well, you know all about it;sure padded your wallet for awhile there, huh?
And still is, in fact.
Which is why it was so surprising and confusing to get to those posts by you about how unfair it all was! And then the very next time, there you were on a winning streak no one could deny - what could you have to be upset about??
Also I can see that MANY of those times that you won, it didn't come as one bit of a surprise to anyone, did it? In other words, in many of those draws, you too held a large percentage of the total tickets, and so what would have been surprising was if you had NOT won (which could have happened too and probably did even, but that's because it's a DRAW- a RANDOM name draw, if I understand correctly).
But my point is that you knew the rules and that there were many various ways of amassing credits to buy entries with, so you used that knowledge to your advantage and put some effort into doing them to get credits to buy tickets to enter the draw to win the money. Just what you should do! And just what I and anyone else should do, if they want. Especially if you happen to have some extra time and happen to NEED some extra money (like me, exactly).
But anyway, that's how I got all the credits, and how I plan to get a lot more credits for as long as the draw is held. And even if it's not, by then, I'll probably have made it a habit, and keep doing all those kinds of things at this site anyway!
I personally thought it would be worth my time for the chance of making a little money from it. But I wouldn't have thought that if my chances weren't high enough, so that's why I tried to make sure I had a high chance of winning, and this time anyway it worked.

I think it's a good enough gamble to take, IF I lower my risk of losing quite a bit by getting a lot more entries than anyone else... THEN I think it's worth the gamble. And it's easier to see it that way when all I'm "gambling" is my time, and no money. And since I don't have any money at the moment, that works out for me. But I do actually at this moment, I have $40 all of a sudden! Very cool.
Thanks again to faircasinos for making it happen!

So if that's trying to "control" the draw, as you've claimed, then OK, I'm guilty, but the thing is, that this is not something that's illegal (or against the rules). In fact, this is how the "game" is played. You can play and not do all sorts of things to get more entries and still win, but that's just 'cause you got lucky - which happens, I know - but like I said, I don't wanna rely on just luck if I don't have to.

But yes, I openly admit that I'm actively trying to turn the draw in my favor by getting a bunch of entries in hopes that I will win. Absolutely.

That's what you're supposed to do, ya know.
But I hardly expect to be able to win EVERY time! Which is almost what it seems like you're expecting for yourself... or maybe you don't think you should win every time, but when you don't, you think it's unfair that someone else did win! Now does that make sense?

Everyone always has all the same options open to them, and like Tricon said, if they don't want to take advantage of these things and spend time on them etc etc, then that's their choice; but then when some other people DO, and they benefit from their efforts, I can't believe I'm hearing them condemned or hassled for it. That shouldn't happen. That's just petty and immature. Like I said, that's what you're supposed to do - get as many entries as you can- it's certainly better than whining about it.

That's why I didn't understand another comment I read in this thread, this time by benroles I think (who I remember from gamblingfamily by the way!) but I didn't understand why he would say about whoever was winning a bunch that they were "buying up all the tickets in the draw" and so not giving anyone else a chance to win... but that doesn't make any sense! There is no limit to the number of tickets in the draw! You CANNOT "buy them all up"! You can buy a lot and you can buy more and you can buy as many as you're allowed to up to your personal maximum, which may be higher for some people than for others because of the booster points, but everyone has the same chances at those points and so it's all the same, and it's all very very FAIR. And you won't win every time, so someone else will win those times, and that's FAIR. And why you would need this spelled out to you, I'll never know.

Anyway, sorry for going on and on.
Good luck, sincerely, and thanks again for posting all the bonuses.
And good luck to everyone else too!
=)

In August?!?
I guess you must be a long way from where I am.

Well, keep warm then!

Hi,

I think I finally fixed the way the draw handles the booster points. It didn't quite work properly before and didn't let you buy more tickets even if you had enough booster points (unless you bought all the tickets in one go). Please tell me if you spot any problems with it as I haven't tested it much.

I haven't changed too much else apart from the draw period now being daily and changing the referral draw slightly. All previous referrals will still count for the referral draw until $500 is given away. There have only been 6 referral draws so far, so whenever there are less than 15 entrants in the main draw, the main draw is extended another 24 hours and the referral draw is drawn instead (although in the event that there have been 5 referrals in the day, both draws will take place). After $500 in total is given away in the referral draw, I have plans to change the referral part of the draw so there is a prize drawn for every 10 referrals with no time limit.
