Yep, this has been mentioned in at least one other post in the past, but I've felt like it needed to be emphasized more even still.
Because I don't know why the game has a problem with this, but it does, and it is a REAL stickler about it too!
You can't do ANYthing at all except in the game window itself, or it'll usually create that error. I'd say always even.
You can't check the high scores; you can't browse the forum (like while waiting for the roulette ball to drop - on my computer at least, it spins for forever!) or anything else that involves another page of the faircasinos site, as far as I can tell.
It only matters though in regard to other parts of this site, not in some other webpage you might have open from another site. I've never had any problem doing things in other windows that I had open at the same time I was playing the tournament games.
So you don't have to give up multitasking completely in order to play these games, but if you do, the windows you do other things in have to be on pages in some other website.
From my experience, you can only have the tournament games main page open and the game window itself open while playing in order to avoid errors. And don't close the main page while playing or it won't work, and don't open the site up in another window, and don't click on any links (including the high score list) or even refresh the main page until after you've saved your game score.
That really can be inconvenient at times though. I'm sure it's VERY common for someone to check the hi score list while they're playing, and you most always need to check it BEFORE you save your score - to see how you're doing, and if you should quit or keep going to get a higher score, depending on what you see on the hi scores list.
I do like someone above said and check it before I begin playing, and I also have to write it down - otherwise, I'll forget by the time I'm done playing. And more than once, I've written down the high score to beat, played til I surpassed that score, saved my score, and then went back to check the scores, only to find that the high score is now HIGHER than the one I wrote down (and usually higher than the one of my own that I just saved too!) Because the score I wrote down may have been correct when I started, but the list is updating in real time while we play, and we have no way of keeping ourselves updated on it, since we're unable to check the scores til after we save ours!
But there is one thing about it that helps some, and that's that even if you get the error while saving your score, and it tells you it was not saved, there is still a record of it somewhere that the site boss can see your score on, so it's not completely lost. I've been credited several times for scores that I "lost" due to the error. I think he wants you to send a PM to him when you get the error, so he'll know to credit you.
OK that's all I have to say on that (more than enough eh) so good luck everyone and have fun!
Thanks!
