Hi all,
I just thought I would drop in to let you know about my recent play at William Hill casino (the java no-download version to be specific). Below is a complete list of my deposits and cashins since Xmas:
Dep: 50 Cashin: 83
Dep: 50 Cashin: 80.50
Dep: 50 Cashin: 85
Dep: 50 Cashin: 70
Dep: 20 Cashin: 20
Dep: 100 Cashin: 202.50
Dep: 50 Cashin: 80.50.
Isn't that pretty amazing?! I know they are are not huge wins, but I've almost not even dipped below my deposit account on every occasion! I've not had a run like this for a while! And whilst each win is not huge, that's still a total win of £251.50 which is good by any standard! And these were in pretty small sessions of blackjack!
Also, on 2 where I've had a gut feeling and have put down $40 (as opposed to my usual 2-5), I've had blackjack on both times!
Hope everyone else is doing well on the gambling front at the moment!
Cheers,
Ben. |

Look at this message at Casinomeister http://casinomeister.com/forums/showthread.php?p=25033#post25025 (not sure if the URL always goes to the right page so I'm quoting it below):

BE WARNED!!! Before you gamble at WILLIAM HILL ONLINE CASINO be aware of some things.....BONUS; for your £50 match bonus you will have to play £2000 yes two thousand pounds before you can cash out anything including your £50 cash purchase. I have just been told this by telephone from one of william hill's operators. LIVE HELP; FORGET IT!!! just been in a queue for 11 1/2 hours waiting for live help every time you get down to first in the queue you get a message saying no operators are available try email help...it's a joke. E MAIL RESPONSE...None existant!!!.
GIVE IT A MISS IF I WERE YOU!!!

I thought there would be a problem with the Live help so I tested it and it seemed to work. It turns out he could withdraw his deposit afterall.
William Hill introduced different software a few months ago. I've found out more about it. The software depends on the playing currency and whether it's no-download or not. There are two types of no-download casino. They are Boss Media 'Flash' and Crypto 'java'. US players don't have a no-download casino and Euro players can only choose the Boss one. For US and UK currency, the downloadable casinos are powered by Cryptologic as before whereas the new Euro currency downloadable casino is now Boss. |

I will soon write more about the problem with the player Joeyl referred to (or at least had in mind) in faircasinos.com... who spent most of the proceeds from selling her flat in six weeks at William Hill (equivalent to about US$70,000). Her name was Dominique and she wrote a lot about it at casinomeister and winneronline a few months ago. The problem would probably have been worse if she had used credit cards but she spent on her debit card linked to her bank account.
From the game logs she sent me, she was obviously addicted and played at all times of the day and often through the night. She claimed to have been signed off work with depression and anxiety problems since the previous year. I tried reasoning with William Hill but it was to no avail.
Part of the problem (which was Joeyl's comment) was that William Hill showed lower card limits on part of it's website at one point to that of the software but the main problem was the ridiculously high new card limits they introduced and the way they handled the whole situation.
The latest is that Dominique has been in contact with the BBC and also her Bank seems to be trying to assist too in getting some of the money back. |

| That is really sad, I remember reading about that not too long ago. The casino was very aware of what was going on. Just like having a reverse cash out button...so many players win, then cash out, then put it all back in. I've done it enough myself. I hope her situation will at least call more attention to some responsobolity on the casino's part. |

I had not read about this. How very sad! I can't imagine losing a paycheck let alone my home! I hope that she can at least recover part of her losses |

yes you are right I could cash out my deposit although the software would not let me cash out anything at the time but I think £2000 for a £50 match bonus is daylight robbery.
I also noticed a stange thing with the roulette software, playing in practise mode was fine although a bit slow paced.
when I went into real money play I noticed the ball dropping into the number i was betting on, bounce three or four times in that number then bounce out into the next number so I passed a few spins and watched other players. it did the same thing with them. This wasn't jusy an occasional thing it was happening every time the ball landed in a number that was being betted on. I have tried it since to make sure it was not just some quirky glitch but it is still doing it.
Keno is a bit of a joke...if you want a good keno game with good odds try ladbrokes.
their bonus policy is much better too ...no cash out conditions usually £35 free chip every month but it can vary from month to month.
good luck all
markey. |

| Does Ladbrokes accept US players? I'm not familiar with that one, just heard the name a bit before. |

| It is very sad to read about someone blowing so much at a casino - very sad! There needs to be more accountability! |

Although it isn't easily found on the site, Ladbrokes doesn't allow US residents. If you click the link to request a free CD, it has this written on the page :
| Quote: |
Opening of accounts, bet processing or financial transactions cannot be taken from individuals residing in Gibraltar or the United States of America, its territories or possessions.
