There were no online casinos at the time casinocity.com started. The site began towards the end of 1995 and was a searchable directory for land casinos. It was impressive at the time because anything more than static page sites were rare on the web. It later included a small list of internet casinos. A database for online casinos was later added but only fully realised in 2004 when online.casinocity.com was launched. It is now arguably the biggest portal.

I realise that the only reason this old thread is near the top of the pile is because you have just re-arranged your forum (much better now!), but I am still surprised to see you 'sort of promoting' this portal.
I made the same comments to Simmo & Jetset when they mentioned it at CM.

It is undoubtedly a very big & successful portal, but among the casinos they promote there are quite a number of what are widely considered 'rogue' by the influential sites such as CM, WOL and even here at FairCasinos.

Before I really knew much about the 'dodgy' places I used to use & actually signed up to loads of casinos via another very popular portal CCJ (I expect you know that one too). I also used to recommend it to others until I realised that they too promote rogues.

Rogue casinos are the bane of the online gaming world and it is down to people like you & me & WOL & CM to do all we can to steer players away from these places, not towards them.

CasinoCity.com is one that came to mind when I added a few portals to this section. I was just adding some history to it and not promoting it. I don't think any external portals come to mind that only promote reputable sites (even those that think they do) although the information about their problems is not that easy to find but the reasons will all be listed on this site eventually in an organised way (there will be a sort of complaints system like the review system).
