The first online casino taking bets opens for South African players only. Known as The Gaming Club, it is owned and operated by the software company, Microgaming.

An initial offering only features 5 games: Blackjack, Roulette, Video Poker and two slots. They are using a Pentium 90 for a server. The games are also extremely slow, often taking upwards of 2 minutes for each new card to show up in the card games!
