Heard reports they are getting out of the online casino business. GIN is their code on the London Stock Exchange.

They use Grand Virtual software. Interestingly, the company that wrote their latest software (3d Flash software used in 2zapcasino.com which isn't now operational) went out of business. This was apparently due to the debt Gaming Insight owed them. According to a former employee (who didn't get paid all her wages), the boss of Force Gaming now works for Gaming Insight.

Gaming Insight also had the rights to the Harrods brand for a while but not anymore (I presume). Harrods-Casino.com is now being relaunched using Kizmet (formerly Goldplay) software.

As part of the strategic focus on interactive racing the company is reducing its interests in on-line casino gaming. Consequently, the company has ceased to operate the Harrods-Casino.com on a day to day basis, but will continue to participate in a revenue sharing arrangement for the remainder of the current contract which expires at the end 2003. The impact of this change is not expected to be material to the company's current revenues. The company also intends to sell its proprietary casino software and is in discussions with a number of potential purchasers.

Its seems as though they were/are trying to sell the 3d software. They no longer use it in 2zapcasino.com, as the site is not operational.

There are occasional problems receiving payment from Zap casino at the moment judging by other message board posts. They are also unable to contact the casino.

There have been recent problems with the parent company. Look up the stock code! It seems to have stopped trading. More details to come.
