|
|
Got an email from PayPal last night that they have decided to give me limited access to my account until I fax probably every known piece of identification to them.
I guess their new policy really went into affect. I have noticed a lot more complaints online about it.
Might all want to just check your status with them (especially if you have funds in them).

I hadn't used PayPal in a while, and had a little money in there, less than $10. The winnings I had from the prize draw were deposited there, so I thought I would just wqithdraw and have a check sent to me. Little did I know, there was virtuall ynothing I could do, not shop online, not even send a check to MYSELF, according to their rules, unless I link a bank account or cc to them, which I refuse to do, as with Neteller, it is just a way of getting your info, it is not a legitimate request for identification purposes. I have plenty of ID for that. I can say that I recently requested a withdrawal for over $1200 from Neteller, had it sent overnight, no problems whatsoever, and they request nothing. I don't have any bank info listed with them either.
So, they are making me jump through hoops to have a check sent to ME, and want a ton of ID faxed to them. I guess I better get on it.... |

| Yes but if you have your bank account registered at Neteller there is no charge for a transfer of funds back to your account. Unless of course they didn't charge you. Then I'd say just leave your account the way it is. But how do you fund your Neteller account then, money orders? |

| I keep it funded from all my WINNINGS! HA! No, I have a few affiliate accounts that usually keep me in gambling $$. I had a little problem with Firepay once, so I am leery of linking anything to any bank accounts. And I still don't see why they need that info for someone to send funds to another member. Just smacks of them wanting to get into your business. |

Well at least I've been receiving reply emails back from Paypal. Two made very little sense, but the third informed me my account was already restored. Maybe they are just doing some random security checks.
